- Agricultural Open Space: Since 1916, this property has been continuously utilized as a working cattle and hay ranch. The property sits in the middle of one of the last true ranching areas of Grand County. Most of the private land in the lower Troublesome Creek Valley is owned by a handful of 4th or 5th generation families that are still making their living off the land. By protecting this property, the ranching heritage of the property and of Grand County will be preserved in perpetuity.
- Scenic Open Space: This scenic property lies in one of the most beautiful and largely undeveloped valleys in Grand County: Troublesome Creek Valley. The property’s hay meadows and open range are located along and below County Road 22, providing the public with unobstructed views of a working agricultural ranch in the scenic Troublesome Creek landscape. The property is also entirely visible to the public from adjacent BLM land. Another CHLT conservation easement is adjacent to this property, together creating 426 acres of conserved land.
